the west side of the residence backs onto the exclusive rue Cannebiere where design and engineering have merged seamlessly to bring natural light, ventilation and exquisite green vistas to guest bedrooms and common areas. excavated into the west hillside, one can find the cool and relaxing clubhouse that features a meeting room, lounge, sporting a gym, hammam, sauna and pool.

Conceived and designed by world famous design firm SOATA, the architecture is a combination of geometric and organic, with light touches of afro-centric pattern & forms that gently appear throughout the building. A strong sense of privacy remains throughout and offers all residents a sense of seclusion. the building can be described as transparent in many ways, offering open plan spaces which are exposed to the view. at the same time, it is held by two heavy external walls which provide a level of privacy and solidity to the structure. These outer walls are repeated internal, as feature stone-clad walls which provide the same privacy to each apartment, at a more intimate scale.

The design of the building is distinctive for at street level the entrance invites one in with a dramatically shaped canopy. The canopy is resonant of the main roof canopy and the interesting forms replicated throughout the building planes, wall enclosures and screens. contrasting these elements is the simple refined horizontality of the front façade of the building, suspends the building over the site.

The heavy concrete circulation pods rise from the basement to the top floors, emerging to carry the lightweight shaped roof which gracefully hovers over the penthouse, which has been conceptualized as an extensive open pavilion of living, as an oasis at the top of the building.

THE ONE provides an entirely new approach and offering to the residential market, a level of design, luxury & living experience not yet seen and enjoyed by Abidjan nor the entire cote d’ Ivoire.
